To commemorate the 30th anniversary of Grammy award-winning composer and EBMM signature artist Steve Lukather, the Ernie Ball Music Man company is proud to unveil the new 30th anniversary edition Luke 4. This fourth installment in the Lukather stable of signature guitars will be limited to only 150 instruments. Featuring a Steamroller Walnut Burst satin finish, this anniversary edition combines a beautiful flame maple top seated in an exotic Black Limba body with a figured roasted maple neck and ebony fingerboard. The proprietary HSS pickups are designed with custom Music Man pickup technology, delivering an incredibly dynamic and responsive playing experience. The pickups can achieve an ultra-high-output, powerful low-end response while retaining a distinctively clean, clear tone at lower volume levels. This anniversary Luke 4 HSS shares many of the standard specifications of the previous Luke guitars, including a double-cut contoured body, a roasted maple neck with 22 nickel frets, 5-way switching, an adjustable 12dB boost, and Music Man's double locking tremolo. Each guitar includes a tremolo cover personally signed by Steve Lukather, a certificate of authenticity, and a Mono case.

HT pickup technology is a new material-based innovation made possible by principles and insights learned from the research and development of Cobalt and M-Steel string technology.
The Luke 4 HT bridge pickup outperforms regular spec pickups with more output, dynamic range, and excellent touch sensitivity. The pickup achieves ultra-high output and garners a powerful low-end response while retaining a distinctively clean, clear tone and definition at lower volume levels.
The Luke 4 HT single coil pickups can achieve an ultra-high-output, powerful, low-end response while retaining a clean, clear tone at lower volume levels. This set of pickups has been crafted for a complimentary tonal offering across all five switch positions.
A push-push volume knob activates the Luke 4 HT preamp boost and is factory set to 12db. Via a trim pot inside the control cavity, the preamp can be adjusted up to 20db if needed for heavy rhythm parts or high-octane soloing whenever the user chooses.
The Luke 4's double-cutaway design features a balanced, resonant Black Limba body for extreme playing comfort. The premium roasted maple neck is beautifully figured and features a soft "V" profile that comfortably fits in the palm of your hand.
The Luke 4 features black Schaller M6-IND tuners.
