Diseñado en colaboración con la prestigiosa firma Darkglass Electronics, el DarkRay impresiona por sus nuevas gamas de sonido.
El tono es el corazón de cualquier instrumento: En este caso, su moderno previo con ecualización de 2 bandas ha sido diseñado por Darkglass específicamente para el DarkRay. Este previo cuenta con tres modos con una gama variada de sonidos: Clean, Alpha (distorsión), y Omega (fuzz). Ambos circuitos de distorsión se pueden combinar entre sí con el potenciómetro de ganancia y con el control de mezcla integrado. Desde limpios cristalinos, distorsión con pegada o un fuzz brutal, todo es posible en este bajo y sin percibir ruidos. Su anillo LED y el interruptor de 3 posiciones nos indica el modo en el que el bajo está trabajando.
El DarkRay se basa en el diseño de un Stingray Special con pastilla humbucker con imanes de neodimioh, mástil de arce roasted, cuerpo especial, 22 trastes de acero inoxidable y la configuración de pala con clavijeros 4+1.

The DarkRay is equipped with a new modern 2 Band preamp that Darkglass specifically designed. The preamp is extremely clean and quiet with adjustable volume, gain, bass, treble, and blend controls to achieve the desired tone.
The Darkglass preamp offers two highly regarded drive circuits, Alpha(tight distortion) and Omega(fuzz). Both distortion circuits are fully mixable via an onboard gain knob and blend control manipulated to the user’s preference with no low-end loss. Via the 3-way lever switch, a bright color-coded LED ring is illuminated, signifying which mode the bass is in.
The DarkRay bass is every bit a Stingray Special with neodymium humbucking pickup, roasted maple neck, comfort contoured body, 22 stainless steel frets, all black hardware, and the familiar 3+1 headstock configuration.
